How do I get into the Member Account Access area?
You need to start the process to get a password and user ID for Account Access. Click on the "Member Account Access" button. When the page opens, click the "New User" button. On the next page, please enter your Social Security number, birth date, and member ID. The member ID can be located on the TRS Benefits Report that is annually mailed to active and inactive members. New members and retired members (unless they kept past reports) should call TRS for their member IDs, (800) 877-7896.
If the Social Security number, birth date, and member ID you entered matches those we have on file for you, a new page will open that will instruct you to create a user ID. Your user ID and password will be immediately established with the proper information. You may enter the secure area the same day.
Additional sign-in screens are also part of the process. With your personalized answers in place, future visits to the area will confidently assure you that you are visiting the official TRS Web site.
I'm having trouble accessing my account. What do I do?
Your password is case sensitive. You must exactly type the upper and lower case letters for the user ID and password.
After three unsuccessful sign-in attempts, your account will be locked for security reasons. You must call Member Services, (800) 877-7896, for the account lock to be removed.
I've forgotten my user ID or password. What do I do?
Go to the Member Account Access page. On the sign-in page, click the "Forgot Password" button to establish a new password. You will need your member ID. The member ID can be located on the TRS Benefits Report that is annually mailed to active and inactive members. New members and retired members (unless they kept past reports) should call TRS for their member IDs, (800) 877-7896.
Is there a certain type of browser I should use on the Internet?
The secured Account Access area is best viewed using the latest version of Internet Explorer or Firefox. The Safari browser is not compatible in this area. An Apple/Mac computer must use a Firefox browser.
TRS has added a new feature to the Web site. How do I gain access to it?
Information about new features will appear on the opening page of Account Access.
